Atty. Batacan is a B.S. Biology graduate of the Davao Medical School Foundation, Inc., taking up B.S. Biology as her supposed pre-medicine course. However, in 2014, she decided to follow the footsteps of her father. She then took up law in Ateneo de Davao University College of Law and graduated in 2018. She took the bar and passed the same with a general weighted average of 82.5735%, with Mercantile Law and Criminal Law as her highest subjects with the grades of 92.75% and 92.5%, respectively.

In law school, Atty. Batacan was an overall top student and had the opportunity to be the only Dean’s Lister from among all law school students from first to fourth year during her second year of law school, where she was awarded with second honors.

After becoming a lawyer, Atty. Batacan joined the law firm as an Associate Lawyer.
