PROFILE

Atty. Valdez earned her undergraduate course of Bachelor of Arts in Communication Arts Major in Speech Communication from the University of the Philippines – Mindanao in 2007, cum laude. She finished her law studies in the Ateneo de Davao College of Law in 2011, took the Philippine Bar exam in the same year, and admitted to the Bar in 2012.

Atty. Valdez was a college instructor in the University of the Philippines – Mindanao, particularly in the Humanities Department of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, teaching Academic Writing and the Summer Bridge Program of the university’s Learning Resource Center. She also worked as a legal staff of the Floor Leader of the 15th Sangguniang Panglungsod of Davao City. While waiting for the Bar results in 2012, she worked as paralegal at the Batacan Montejo and Vicencio Law Firm and was eventually admitted as Associate Lawyer, and now, a Partner of the Firm. She teaches Natural Resources Law, Environmental Law, and the Law on Agency, Trusts and Partnerships at the Ateneo de Davao University College of Law. She is also a Real Estate Broker.

Atty. Valdez handles litigation (criminal, civil, administrative cases) and practices general corporate matters as a corporate secretary/ officer of some of the firm’s clients.

Among others, Atty. Valdez is a member of the Sigma Tau Mu Sorority (Tau Mu) of the Ateneo de Davao College of Law, Kappa Epsilon Sorority of the University of the Philippines in Mindanao, and an inducted member of the International Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi – University of the Philippines 045 Chapter. She is also the moderator and supervising lawyer of Green Juris, the environmental organization of the Ateneo de Davao University College of Law.
